What Putin Thinks?

So Putin says to ‘T’ucker Carlson that the Ukraine is just a fabricated country (like, which one isn’t?) and the Ukrainian language was simply made up by some Austro-Hungarian administrators (long standing Russian BS meme). Official Russian history states that Moscow is the third Rome after the second Rome, Constantinople had its turn. Ehhh? Bit of stretch, don’t you think? Like any history, it’s way more ancient and way more complicated than the headline.

BUT. It’s easy to see that for Putin, Ukraine was just one more easy step, especially after nobody did much after Crimea and the Donbas land grab in 2014. Then in 2021 he also saw the disastrous Biden evacuation (set up by Trump) of Kabul. PS-Neither US administration seemed to know about the previous evacuation of Kabul in the First Anglo-Afghan War where the locals stole everything that was not nailed down and the British got massacred (1842).

So it was pretty straight forward for HIM (and him alone as there are reports that Foreign Minister Lavrov wasn’t even told about the invasion) to predict that the when HIS army entered the Ukraine; 1) the Ukis will praise Russia for killing the “fascists” and, 2) Zelensky will flee to the West and, 3) Russia will snag all of the Ukraine in one or two days. Except that is not what happened.

History Comes Along

Let’s go back to the Vikings who in the 9th century created something the history books call Kievan Rus (yeah, in Kiev and Rus=Vikings). Vikings didn’t just do boats. They marched south on land pillaging, raping and plundering, ripping their way through what is now Poland, Belarus, and Ukraine. Zelensky and Putin both get their names from Vladimir the Great (958-1015) who shipped in Christianity to Kiev. Moscow was still a forest at this time.

The next great pillaging, raping and plundering organization to arrive was the Turkish Islamic Modification of the Mongols referred to by the history books as the Golden Horde -say,13th century. Moscow was just a village in a forest at this time.

During the Golden Horde time period oligarchic Moscow, starting with Ivan I of Moscow, grew and grew rich, basically by collecting taxes for the Mongols.

So now we come to the Polish PRP (pillagers,rapists,plunderers) -say 16th century-who ran things after they booted out the Mongols (presumably back east). They had something called Magdeburg Law which meant citizens’ rights for Ukrainians living under this Polish rule. Further east the early Russian Empire and the Mongols didn’t have this. Sorta like today? Mr. Xi, meet Mr. Putin?

Then along comes the Habsburgs’ time to run Ukraine-say 17th and 18th centuries. They were pretty good compared to the more severely inbred and therefore badly mutated Habsburgs who ran Spain. Ukrainians even sent lawmakers to their parliaments. There were two. One in Vienna and one in Budapest. Oh. Then WW1 happened.

This resulted in the Ukraine becoming one country briefly until the Bolshevik PRP’s came along. They took over but to keep control had to “promise” not to suppress the Ukrainian culture and language.

Then Hitler came along.

Then Stalin came along.

Then Ukrainian nationalism came along which wasn’t too nice to Jews, minorities, and anyone else who disagreed with them. Pretty corrupt.

Then perestroika came along. More corrupt.

Then Putin came along. Really corrupt.

Then the Orange Revolution came along which scared the sh*t out of Putin. (Gotta keep the serfs down.)

President Yushchenko was poisoned with dioxin (I wonder who did that?) and developed those awful facial bumps (chloracne) and almost died except for the fact that he was taken to Germany for hospital care. Then a Donetsk oligarch named Yanukovych (he had this big palace called Mezhyhirya) was elected on a western oriented platform but flipped to Russia (hmm?). So a Facebook entry by Mustafa Nayyem (a Ukrainian journalist whose parents came from Afghanistan) started the Maidan Revolution and Yanukovych took off (February 23, 2014…remember this date) from Mezhyhirya to Moscow as the Sochi Olympics ended on February 24, 2014 (this date too). In March 2014 Putin took Crimea.

The FSB guys like Igor Girkin moved into the Donbas and property transfers at gunpoint with the killing of thousands became the norm. Obama screwed the Ukis here because he wanted the Russians to help him with Iran. His quote was "The fact is that Ukraine, which is a non-NATO country, is going to be vulnerable to military domination by Russia no matter what we do."

And THE war has been going on since then (2014).

This War

For the next eight years the Ukis prepared. They got rid of (some) corruption. They raised an army backed up by conscription reserves. The Biden administration told the Ukis to prepare for their own funeral. This was the same Biden administration that told the Ukis in Kharkiv; 1)which was 40 km. from the Russian border, and, 2)which was being bombarded from missiles in Russia, that they couldn’t shoot back with American supplied missiles into Russia! Wtf?

On February 24, 2022 (Does the date sound familiar?) a relatively small Russian force of 200,000 entered the Ukraine along a front of seven or eight HUNDRED miles. Zelensky gives his famous “We Are Here” Youtube talk with his ministers and the Russians fail to take the Hostomel Airfield.

Social and Mainstream media have been stuffed full of details since this time and I won’t go into it. The main point is that this conflict has now turned into a ECM (electronic counter measures) defensive stalemate with lots of older men in the trenches. The demographers say that for every 20 year old man in Ukraine there are one point six 45 year old men. Ditto for Russia. This is not the WW1 Lost Generation of young men in trenches. It probably means that whoever makes (or gets given) the most war stuff (has the most industrial capacity) wins. Seeing how North Korea sells to Russia and South Korea sells to the Ukraine, you could almost say it’s a Korean proxy War.

Mixed Up

The Ukis, especially the Russian speaking ones, saw that life since 2014 under Russian rule in the Donbas did not result in a life of harmony with raised pensions. They mostly made the decision that a new Magdeburg time was more likely, the more west they were.

Ps-In 1990 80% of Kiev was Russian speaking.

Pps-Zelensky comes from a Russian speaking Jewish family.

Ppps-The current Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov is Muslim.

Ppps-General Oleksandr Syrsky, the current Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was born in Soviet Russia and graduated from the Moscow Higher Military Command School in 1986.

Ppppps-Oh. And Nikita Khrushchev was of Ukrainian blood.?

Pppppps-A big percentage of Russian Army NCO’s are ethnic Ukrainians.
